I would like to pass on my experience at West Isle Urgent care from last week. We were visiting relatives in Galveston when my 15 year old daughter became ill with a very high and unrelenting fever but no other symptoms. After a few days we determined that we needed to take her for medical care. My California insurance company referred us to your office where we were met by your friendly receptionist. We only had to wait 20 minutes before my daughter was taken in to triage where they took her temp and BP and I was impressed that you were also able to test her blood oxygen level right there on the spot. We were not in the room for very long before Dr. Potter came in to see us. Dr. Potter was very responsive to my concerns about my daughter and patiently listed to my account of the details of her past few days of illness. He ordered tests that made sense to me and when all of the scary possibilities were ruled out he recommended an IV for fluids. I was impressed again that West Isle was able to do IVs! Richard was our RN who hooked up my daughter first try and was very attentive to my daughter during her 2 liters of fluid. I appreciated Richard's ability to calm my daughter and his personable care. When we left we were given all the information to continue her care and to top it off my daughter felt a million times better! Thank you West Isle for a great experience and great care!

I would love for my compliment to be posted on the website. I want to give praise and thanks for Doctor Williams. I saw him on Wednesday for gastritis and a kidney infection, all while being very dehydrated. He had the best bed side manner and handled all of my concerns promptly. I felt very safe in his care and knew I was well taken care of. My experience at West Isle was wonderful, even considering my condition. Thank you greatly for the care I received.

Dr. Zompa, I want to thank you for your extraordinary staff at your Urgent Care. August 27th I suffered a leg laceration from a 6 pound chunk of marble breaking off and falling on my leg. It later became infected. I was seen by three of your doctors and my care was exceptional. It was a complicated wound but your staff endured my multiple visits and my leg mended. I suffered three rib fractures about 17 days after the leg wound. Once again your staff was patient, helpful and at times long suffering with my needs to be seen more than one time. I didn't have a primary physician at that time, Dr. Kasper took time to encourage me that I would heal at a time when I was feeling very low from the injuries. His encouragement helped me gain a better perspective about my injury and recovery and helped me weather the complications of being injured and working as a nurse full time. I drove 110 miles each visit as I knew the care would be great. I had other urgent cares I could choose from in my plan but only wanted to be seen at West Isle. Your administrative staff, especially Kendal, helped me with the work documents I needed so I didn't have to lift heavy loads during recovery. I don't get paid time off as a nurse and I was able to complete all of my shifts during the time period of healing thanks to the care plan from your doctors. I also was given compression hose which I still wear when I mountain bike ride. Thank you again, Happy Holidays,
Dr. Zompa, This is by far the best clinic I have EVER stepped into I am taking the time off from my vacation to write and let you know how pleased I am with not only the clinic but staff as well. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such good care of my baby girl last night. All of you treated her as one of your own and not just a number. The dr was fantastic and showed me how to pop her little arm back in place in case it happens again… Saving me time and money. Words can't express my gratitude. This is by far the best clinic I have EVER stepped into. So from my family to yours….. Thank you so much. I hope nothing but the best but for this facility and it's staff. Yours Truly,
Dear Dr. Zompa and Staff, Thank you for the excellent care we received while vacationing there. Your clinic is probably one of the friendliest and best run facilities that we have ever visited. Thank you for treating tourists with such hospitality and for making my kidney stone attack less stressful and more manageable. Dr. Z. you have a wonderful bedside manner and my husband and I appreciated your candor and trust in the patient's (my) self-assessment. I appreciate a listening physician. To: The staff of West Isle Urgent Care, So often people find fault, are dissatisfied with the services provided, or write letters of complaint, But I like to write "Notes of Thanks" when there is a "Job Well Done". I visited your clinic yesterday, concerned when I observed blood in my urine. This is the third time in recent years that I have visited your practice. Each visit has been a good experience and I received exceptional "care" from all of your staff. Dr. Martin and Dr. Zompa have both treated me in the past and they, as well as your staff, have been kind, respectful, and considerate during each visit. They all made me feel as if they cared and I was a person, instead of "just a number". Your establishment was comfortable and clean, and I will not hesitate to return in the future! I visited your facility near closing time Friday the 29th of June, and was extremely impressed with the efficiency and professionalism of all the staff that worked with me during my visit. West Isle Urgent Care Thanks for your wonderful care during my sudden illness while visiting Galveston. The caring staff and Dr. were very professional and quickly put me at ease.
